The past two weekends have been busy at Squash Advantage. We held an advanced open clinic the past two Sundays, and both clinics were well attended by our top players, as well as some very strong visiting players. Youssef Ibrahim (Princeton Varsity) and Shams Abbas (F&M Varsity) also attended one of the clinics.

We’ve had some strong showings with our players at two bronze tournaments recently. Evan C. won the U13 draw at the Life Time Westchester Bronze, and Erika Q. won the GU11 Squash 1 Fall Junior Bronze. Congratulations to both!

Last weekend, several of players also competed at the Greenwich Junior Gold. Evan W. and Ishani W. came in 6th in BU15 and GU15 respectively. Collin W. placed 4th in BU19.

Congratulations to Aarohi for winning GU15 at the Baird E Haney Gold this weekend! All the hard work that Aaru put in is paying off, with excellent performances at the JCT and the Brooklyn Gold.

Alysa played up an age group in GU19, and came in 6th place. Josh also played some great squash this weekend and came in 7-8th place, beating some higher-rated players along the way! Great showing for SA players all around!

This past weekend, seven SA players competed at the Midwest JCT (Junior Championship Tournament) in Cincinnati. There are 5 JCT in the squash seasion, and only the top 32 athletes nationally ranked in their age groups can qualify to participate. Our players at last weekend’s JCT are:

  • Alysa Ali, GU17
  • Sasha Bauhs, GU13
  • Jacob Bulbulia, BU19
  • Renee Chan, GU19
  • Chelsea Cho, GU17
  • Aarohi Kuthari, GU15
  • Evan Wen, BU15

Congratulations to all the players for playing some great squash. Renee finished at 10th place. Jacob won the consolation and placed 9th.

Congratulations also to Ethan Chan, who competed at Pyramid Silver and finished 6th place.
